Beyond calorie counting

The four numbers that move glucose

A 500-calorie salad and a 500-calorie sandwich do very different things to your blood sugar. GlucoWise tracks the nutrients that explain the difference, each with its own daily target.

Net carbs
The carbs that actually reach your bloodstream, after fiber.
Fiber
Slows how fast those carbs turn into glucose.
Added sugar
The fastest route to a spike, separated from natural sugars.
Glycemic load
Carb quality and quantity combined, per meal and per day.

Calories, protein, fat and sodium are tracked too — they’re just not the headline.

Questions

Is GlucoWise a medical device?

No. GlucoWise is a wellness and education tool that helps you understand how food affects your blood sugar. It is not a glucometer or a continuous glucose monitor, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it is never used to calculate insulin or medication doses. Always follow your healthcare provider's guidance.

How does the AI meal analysis work?

When you take a photo of your meal, our AI identifies the foods and estimates their carbs, net carbs, sugar, glycemic index, and glycemic load. The analysis is an approximation and may not be 100% accurate.

How is the glucose-impact score calculated?

Each meal is graded on an A-to-E scale based on its estimated glycemic load (glycemic index × net carbs), added sugar, fiber, and protein. An 'A' means a gentle, steady effect on blood sugar; an 'E' means a large spike is likely.

Does it connect to Apple Health or my glucose monitor?

GlucoWise can read and write blood glucose readings through Apple Health (HealthKit), and you can also enter readings manually. It does not replace a CGM or glucometer — it helps you make sense of the numbers alongside your meals.

Is my data stored on your servers?

Yes. Your account data, meal logs, and glucose readings are synced to our secure cloud backend so you can access them across devices. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes. Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account in the app. This permanently removes all your data from our servers.

Is GlucoWise free?

GlucoWise offers both free and premium tiers. Core tracking features are available for free, while advanced insights and AI-powered analysis may require a subscription.
